The Neyers Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards, starting from the top elevation of 800′, looking due south to vines planted along Conn Creek at an elevation of 400′. Our house sits in the middle, surrounded by redwood trees. The wine cellar juts out to the left, from the outside structure.It’s full of delicious wine that I am working hard to consume.

Our Left Bank Red was another great idea from Tadeo. He proposed we make a wine from two low-elevation vineyards on our ranch — one Merlot and the other Cabernet Sauvignon — both of which are on the left bank of Conn Creek as it passes through our property on the way to Lake Hennessey.

In 1993, we were planning for our second harvest at Neyers Vineyards, and I contacted Angelo Sangiacomo about buying some Chardonnay grapes.
