"Firm and minerally, with loamy earth, spice, dried berry, black licorice, dill and sage notes, all adding attractive elements of complexity. Full-bodied, deep and structured, this ends with a long, lingering finish. Decant for now. Drink through 2017." 92 Points

2008 Syrah Hudson Vineyard
The Syrah grapes from Lee Hudson served to build the reputation of Neyers Vineyards in our early days, and Lee's 'attention to detail farming' served as an inspiration to our winemaking. In the latest issue of The Wine Spectator, James Laube wrote of this wine, "Full-bodied, deep and structured, this finishes with a long, lingering finish." It's a perfect description for a wine that itself comes close to perfection.
