In the fall of 1999, Bruce and Barbara purchased a 30-acre parcel in the Sage Canyon area of Napa Valley, a few miles east of Rutherford on Highway 128, near Lake Hennessey. Ehren Jordan oversaw the design and renovation of the existing winery building into a fully equipped, 'state of the art' wine production facility, with a central processing and fermentation cellar separating the two barrel storage cellars used for red and white barrel aging respectively. Winemaking operations began at the new facility in October of 2000 with the red grape crush, and the entire 2001 vintage was produced here. The individual wings were built using natural construction materials, and the group of buildings sits comfortably into a recess cut into the rocky north slope of Pritchard Hill, alongside Sage Creek.


  Phoebe Ullberg joined Neyers Vineyards in 2004 following a long and cold seven years of restaurant ownership and graduate school work in Ithaca, New York.  She manages the direct sales, tasting room and office operations for the winery and is the voice you will hear when you call our offices.

  Winemaker Tadeo Borchardt joined us in 2004 after several years of experience in the industry making wine in both California and New Zealand. He's a Cum Laude graduate of the University of Arizona, a zealous advocate of our natural winemaking practices and an enthusiastic supporter of our appreciation for traditionally produced European wines. He brings with him a valuable combination of technical know-how and respect for tradition.
